Poetry — Issue Two

Street Introvert

My fortune said
what is a life
unexamined
solitude is my
friend
and so are you
street lion
I see you eating
street meat
looking at
street art
in the
street heat
patriarchy is a
dying animal
and a dying
animal is the
most dangerous
I’m shedding my
skin again
renegotiating the
term kin again
we will fight
and we will win
again
